Thanks for visiting my website. I have provided this site as a way to introduce myself to my patients and prospective patients and give information about the medical services that I provide, and common ocular medical conditions.

I practice general ophthalmology and also specialize in diseases of the cornea in the group Eye Physicians and Surgeons, LLP with three other ophthalmologists. I am happy to see all ophthalmology patients. The most common patients I see are people who have cataracts, glaucoma, or desire LASIK surgery. I am a native of Iowa City and obtained my undergraduate, medical school, graduate school (physiology and biophysics), and residency training at the University of Iowa. I also obtained internship training at Mercy Hospital in San Diego and finished my training with a two year fellowship in cornea and external eye disease at Harvard. Then, I practiced in Grand Rapids, Michigan for five and a half years before returning to Iowa City in 1995. You can find out more about my training by clicking on the About Dr. Stamler link.
